repaint and details
I did repaint that barbie again. The eyes were totally creeping me out. I used a smaller brush 15/0 or something. I can’t remember. Anyway, it looks significantly better and I’ll post pictures when my phone isn’t dead.
So I ordered a metric ton of barbies and they arrived yesterday. They are, unfortunately, from the home of smokers. I’ll be washing these suckers in odoban. In the meantime I have over 350 outfits to go through and see if I can use/salvage. barbie clothes are easier to wash than they seem, just use a lingerie bag on cold. Make sure it’s in with something you don’t love (in case they bleed) and lay them out on a towel to dry. This will help me get the wrinkles out of some of these dresses as well.
On an amusing note, I took out an outfit and then realized I had a Jasmine in here somewhere. I’ve already found Snow White and Cinderella. There’s a Pocahontas rolling around here too. At least she looks unhappy enough to be a character. Most barbies are WAY too happy to have anything to do with Westeros or Valyria.
That reminds me, I own Valyria.com. I should maybe do something with that.
The youngest kid is DYING to take all these new barbies and clothes off my hands. I’ve already given her fifteen new ones. Hopefully she’ll reel it in a bit.
We’re waiting on hair right now. I’ve already ordered it and it should arrive this week, just in time to be forced into barbie heads. I just hope I can get the smell out of some of these. There are at least six of them that are PERFECT for certain characters.
I’ll throw some pictures up on here (again when the phone is not dead) and you guys can see what I have planned for different peoples. Until then, be careful.
